The WWE Women's Championship is a women’s-exclusive title in World Wrestling Entertainment's, prolific on the RAW brand for several years, until the WWE 2009 Draft saw then-champion Melina take the title to SmackDown after being drafted to the brand. Compared to the men's belts, the Women's championship is traditionally considered to be one of the minor belts, due to the various roles women have had in modern wrestling storylines.
Current champion
The current champion is Michelle McCool, who is in her first reign. She defeated Melina at The Bash 2009 in Sacramento, California.
