Velvet Jones is an American professional wrestler

Anthony Hall began wrestling in 2005 after being trained briefly by Lance Christian in the Georgia Independent Wrestling Alliance. It was there that he adopted the name Velvet Jones based loosely off of Eddie Murphy’s Saturday Night Live character of the same name.  Initially using a pimp gimmick, Jones would drop the gimmick because he sought to be seen as an individual instead of being defined by a dated racial stereotype.

Jones would be re-trained in 2009 by former WCW/ WWE/ECW superstar William DeMott at DeMott’s New Energy Wrestling School in McDonough, GA.
