Recently, I edited the page for Niya, and I did so for one simple reason:  I'm a big fan. I had seen a number of her matches online. I also happened to watch a few matches featuring Ezavel Suena, and also liked what I saw. Little did I know that Niya and Ezavel Suena are one in the same! While watching a Suena match online, there was a comment on YouTube that said that she's Niya with a different gimmick, which I find very interesting.

Recently, Nicole Barela (her real name) has been working double duty under both characters. What I love the most about this is that while Niya is a babyface, Ezavel Suena is a heel. Even better, Suena is a villainous masked wrestler, so it really gives a bit of a Jekyll-and-Hyde vibe to her. While the Suena character is a regular performer for Women Superstars Uncensored, the Niya character is still trying to get back on the roster after losing a Loser Leaves Town match to Jennifer Cruz. She's had three attempts in one-on-one matches to earn a spot, but she has lost each time. Her last defeat came via DQ against Jana, when she refused to break on a five count. What makes this even better is that Jana was the one who officiated Niya's match against Veda Scott, and missed Niya's foot being on the rope when the three count was made in Veda's favor. So Niya had a reason to be really upset at Jana. On the same night, Barela put on the mask and wig as her evil alter-ego, Ezavel Suena, and won the Uncensored Rumble Match; earning a shot at Marti Belle's Spirit Championship at a later date.

On that date, I said that the Niya character would become a villain, and I was close. After reading the results of Blood and Thunder and seeing that not only did Suena lose to Belle in the title match, she was challenged by Belle to a Title vs Mask match, I knew my prediction would come true soon. Unfortunately, the next WSU event isn't until February, but if what happens does happen, it'll be worth the wait. I see Suena losing the rematch and then she will be unmasked and revealed as Niya, who can complete her transformation into a villainess by attacking Belle in the ring. In a later occurrence, the evil Niya could say that she competed in the mask as Ezavel Suena in a surreptitious plot to get back on the roster. I only follow WSU events, but I have yet to see one. I do plan on watching the next one with the hopes of what I have been hoping for happening. I've seen Niya as a heel a few times and she's absolutely spectacular. I think she'll shine as one of the top villains in WSU.
