Tomorrow, the Elimination Chamber event makes its return, only this time, it will air solely on the WWE Network, for that great price of $9.99 a month! The event will feature two Elimination Chamber matches; one for the vacant Intercontinental Championship and a historic one for the WWE Tag Team Championship! As for the Divas, three women will vie for the Divas Championship, as Nikki Bella will defend against rightful #1 Contender Paige and villainous championship chaser Naomi.
Naomi received another one-on-one title opportunity on Raw after she and Tamina Snuka defeated the Bellas at Payback. Tamina's interference resulted in a DQ finish in the champion's favor, and the pair beat down Naomi until Paige made her return. Paige took out both Naomi and Tamina, but she would later do the same to Nikki as well; showing that she her sights set on the Divas Championship. Paige had another encounter with Naomi and Tamina on SmackDown just three days later and that ended with Nikki taking care of the fiendish pair before doing the same to Paige as payback (not a pun) for the attack on Raw. That was the night that the Triple Threat was announced and Paige had a busy week this past week; losing to Tamina on Raw but defeating co-challenger Naomi on SmackDown.
I, among many others, see Naomi winning tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then she'll win at Money in the Bank in June, but regardless, Naomi will win the title as early as tomorrow. The logical route would have Naomi pinning Paige in the match, so Nikki have a clear reason for wanting a rematch. She wasn't the one pinned, so she should get a singles shot, which would most likely take place at June's Money in the Bank. As for where Naomi's run goes beyond that, well, I'll save that for a later blog, and I will post that after Naomi wins. But for now, I'll just look forward to tomorrow's Elimination Chamber event on the Network!
