In 2012, TNA announced the creation of the TNA Hall of Fame. However, TNA inductes one wrestler per year. TNA announces the inductee at the summer PPV Slammiversary and the ceremony is one day before Bound for Glory, TNA's biggest event. The first inductee was Sting. In 2013, Kurt Angle was the second inductee. At Bound for Glory, he (kayfabe) rejected his Hall of Fame induction and started a feud against Bobby Roode. On January 23, 2014, at Genesis, Angle defeated Roode in a match where if Angle lost, he would never accept his Hall of Fame induction. According to the storyline, Angle accepted his induction on February 1, 2014, which aired February 27th.
