St. Paul Civic Center was an indoor arena that was part of the RiverCentre complex in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The arena originally opened on January 1, 1973, and had seating capacity of approximately 16,000 for hockey. The Civic Center was the home rink to both versions of the WHA Minnesota Fighting Saints; The first run was from 1973 to 1976, and the second from 1976 to 1977. The arena was renamed and merged into the newly named RiverCentre in the mid-1990s. The area's new name would not last as it was torn down in 1998 to make way for the Xcel Energy Center which opened its doors in 2000.
