Rodney Begnaud (October 12, 1970) is a semi-retired American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Rodney Mack. He is best known for his time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from 2002 to 2004. In 1988, he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps.

Career[]

WWE ECW (2000)[]

After two years of training, Mack would sign with ECW as part of Da Baldies. The stable wouldn't last for long as ECW was bought out shortly after.

Smackdown & Raw (2002-2004, 2006-2007)[]

While Begnaud would be signed by WWE, he would spend his first year in developmental in OVW. It was there that he teamed up with fellow rookie Shelton Benjamin and together they won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship.

In 2003 he made his debut on SmackDown in the corner of John Cena after Cena double crossed Bull Buchanan. This would only be a one time appearance as Begnaud would be drafted to Raw later

On an episode of Sunday Night Heat, he would attack D-Lo Brown which caused D-Lo's manager Theodore Long to turn on him.

With Long by his side, the newly renamed Rodney Mack would help reform Teddy Long's stable Thuggin' & Buggin' Enterprises. Which turned into a stable of mostly African Americans who felt like they were held down by "The White Man". The group consisted of Mack, Rosey, and Jazz. Mack started a streak of defeating Caucasian wrestlers before the streak was ended by Goldberg.

After the streak ended, Mack would start a tag team with Christopher Nowinski. They would have a successful run until a career ending injury suffered by Chris would end the team. Mark Henry would move in as the new partner until Mack himself suffered a knee injury which would cause him to miss several months.

After a few more months in developmental, Mack would return in 2004 in a losing effort in an over the top rope Battle Royal for the #1 contendership for the World Heavyweight Championship.

On November 4, Mack and his wife Jazz were released from WWE.

In 2006 he would be resigned. He would never appear on TV as he worked house show matches until his release in 2007.

Independent Circuit (2008-Present)[]

In 2008 he returned to the indies with his partner Heidenreich. Rodney would also wrestle as a singles wrestler predominately in the South and Southwest of the United States.
