Hell Freezes Over was a wrestling event held by Ring of Honor. It took place on January 14, 2006 at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The show’s name comes from the main event, as ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson takes on Combat Zone Wrestling’s Chris Hero. The match came about after Danielson and Hero made several comments about each other on the internet. Danielson then sent an open contract for a shot at the ROH World Championship to CZW, who then signed Hero. Earlier in the day, CZW held An Afternoon of Main Events at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia. During the show, Bryan Danielson, ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness, and ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Roderick Strong jumped the guard rail, starting a fight with several CZW wrestlers.

The show would be the start of the Ring of Honor vs. Combat Zone Wrestling feud, which would last for seven months.

• FIP Heavyweight Champion Homicide and Roderick Strong came out for match for the FIP Heavyweight Championship. Dave Prazak came out and interjected Bryan Danielson into the match.
• Bryan Danielson (w/Dave Prazak) defeated Homicide and Roderick Strong to win the FIP Heavyweight Championship
• Jack Evans defeated Adam Pearce, Jason Blade, Kid Mikaze, Sal Rinauro and Trik Davis in a Six Man Mayhem Match
• Nigel McGuinness defeated Tony Mamaluke to retain the ROH Pure Championship
• Christopher Daniels (w/Allison Danger) defeated Jay Lethal
• Samoa Joe defeated BJ Whitmer (w/Lacey)
• AJ Styles defeated Matt Sydal
  • After the match, Styles asked Sydal to be his tag team partner and challenge for the ROH Tag Team Championship.
• Bryan Danielson defeated Chris Hero (w/Necro Butcher and Nate Webb) to retain the ROH World Championship
  • Danielson forced Hero to submit to a Crossface Chickenwing.
  • After the match, Prince Nana came out and offered to buy to the ROH World Championship from Danielson. When Danielson refused, Prince Nana slapped him. Danielson grabbed a hold of Nana, but Jimmy Rave and Alex Shelley ran out and attacked him. Shelley then gave Danielson a Sliced Bread #2, saying it was his “kryptonite”.
