Nate Mattson (February 21, 1977) is an American professional wrestler better known as "Amazing" N8 Mattson.

Career History

N8 Mattson began training at the Can-Am Wrestling School owned by Coach Scott D'Amore in April 1996. Irish Mickey Doyle and Doug Chevalier were Mattson's initial trainers, with Damoore assisting. N8 Mattson then debuted for Border City Wrestling on 11/24/1996, with a loss to the Canadian Destroyer (Doug Chevalier) just outside Windsor, Ont. Canada. Following his debut, Mattson began working the Michigan and Ohio independent circuit, becoming a regular roster member of NWA Michigan and Cleveland All Pro Wrestling throughout the remainder of the late 1990s/ early 2000's. N8 would then join a number of promotions throughout the Midwest, namely the IWR, WAR, IWF, MXPW, UCW, CIW, POG, CWM, MPW and XICW among others. By the mid-2000s N8 was regularly working for 3PW, AWA/World-1 and Revolucha (Formerly IWR). Shortly thereafter Amazing N8 debuted for PWO (later known as PRIME Wrestling) and became a mainstay with the promotion as on-air talent as well as a backstage agent. Before Truth Martini became known as a manager and trainer (, he teamed with N8 as the Michigan Invasion, capturing the AAW Tag Team Titles. Mattson has done a handful of dark matches and extra work for WWE, TNA, ROH and DGUSA from 2007 through 2012. N8 suffered a number of injuries including a separated shoulder, torn knee ligaments, two broken ankles, broken leg and a displaced fractured thumb. Mattson retired briefly in 2012 but made a successful comeback 6 months later. In 2014 Mattson was inducted into the XICW Hall of Fame by The DBA. Amazing N8 has made a number of television appearances including MTV's MADE, Travel Channel's Man V. Food as well as a music video on MTV. Mattson is credited for helping train Chris Sabin, and has scored victories over Marty Jannetty, AJ Styles, Colt Cabana, Nigel McGuinness, Petey Williams, Bobby Roode, Zach Gowen, Jimmy Jacobs, Buff Bagwell, Pat Tanaka, Spike Dudley, Jerry Lynn, Robbie Macallister, Matt Cross, TD Thomas, Shark Boy, Cody Deaner, Sabu, amongst other top independent talent.
