Michael Cole's weekly sit-down interviews debuted on September 4, 2013 when he interviewed WWE COO Triple H. The interviews, which were posted on WWE's website every Wednesday, were originally created as a vehicle for Triple H to discuss what had happened the past week in the WWE. When either The Authority was on vacation or in the weeks heading into WrestleMania or SummerSlam, Triple H would be replaced by another top Superstar, usually either John Cena, Kane, or his wife, Stephanie McMahon-Levesque.

However, shortly after WrestleMania XXXI, Triple H would be replaced on a permanent basis by other WWE Superstars such as Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Paige and others as the weekly interviews shifted its focus from The Authority to other Superstars' storylines. Even McMahon or Cena don't appear in the interviews anymore.

Renee Young, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips have each served as substitutes for Cole on a few occasions.

Due to the WWE Brand Extension which began on the July 25, 2016 episode of RAW, the interviews are uploaded on Fridays beginning on July 29, 2016.
