In a clash between two former World Heavyweight Champions, Jack Swagger controlled Dolph Ziggler from the start. Afterward, Ziggler joined the Exotic Express for a celebratory victory dance.
Natalya did the heavy lifting for her team at the start, tangling with Alicia Fox, Tamina then Aksana. When Naomi tagged in, she quickly had Aksana reeling. Despite the victory, tensions that arose on a recent episode of “Total Divas” still lingered between Natalya and Cameron.
In a physical and emotional bout, Curtis Axel did his best to take down Goldust. In his first appearance ever on WWE Main Event on WWE Network, John Cena directed the WWE Universe to ask themselves what it is about The Wyatt Family that appeals to some. Is it the catchy song? Is it the mask? Do people actually listen to what Bray Wyatt has to say? Critical of Wyatt’s cryptic rants, the Cenation leader delivered a message that should come as no surprise to his legions of supports. No matter how tough the odds, you never give up, he said. Certainly, the Extreme Rules Steel Cage clash between Cena and Wyatt won’t be the last time these two polar opposites will cross paths.
