- Over the next few weeks, Kane and Rey Mysterio will be teaming up on WWE Smackdown house shows.
- WWE's latest title release, WWE: History of the World Heavyweight Championship, is officially out on DVD today. This three-disc set chronicles the lineage of the prestigious title, featuring numerous memorable moments and documentary footage including when the championship came to WWE. Amazon.com has a sample clip of the documentary portion of the DVD.
- It should be noted that Jim Neidhart said at an autograph signing this past weekend in Long Island, New York that WWE is working on a DVD looking at The Hart Foundation, likely the whole family and not just Neidhart and Bret Hart's tag team. Apparently Neidhart just finished shooting some interviews for the project. With WWE teasing a return by Bret Hart on last night's RAW, this adds to the speculation that Bret might be returning to WWE in some fashion.
- List of upcoming WWE DVD releases:
-
- TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Hulk Hogan is not a fan of TNA's 6-sided ring and has been telling people that it's one of the first things he'd like to change when he comes into power next month.
- TNAWrestlingNews.com is also reporting that Kip James was bitten by his dog several weeks ago and needed 10 stitches to close a wound on his hand.
- The live three-hour TNA iMPACT! on January 4th featuring the official TNA debut of Hulk Hogan will also be replayed that same week on Thursday from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on SpikeTV. That obviously means there will be no new episode of iMPACT! that week. The original idea was for TNA to run a live two-hour show from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET to get the one hour advantage over RAW, but they figured WWE would counter by going to USA and asking for a third hour so they went ahead with a three-hour show instead. WWE has yet to announce a response but there is talk of them doing a 3-hour special as well. The live iMPACT! on January 4th is a one time experiment, but if ratings do well or are significantly higher than what they are doing on Thursday nights then it would likely lead to moving to a live Monday show every week. Even if you're not a fan TNA, you should really hope that their special does a good rating as competition is good.
