Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South was an independent American wrestling promotion based in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded by Ian Rotten in 1996, IWA Mid-South has risen to become one of the top independent promotions in the mid-west. IWA Mid-South is also were several wrestlers, such as CM Punk, Chris Hero, Necro Butcher and Jimmy Jacobs, gained their first national exposure in the independent circuit.
On August 26, 2009, IWA Mid-South announced that it would cease its operations after the Kings of the Crimson Mask show on August 28.
