The Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) Heavyweight Championship was a title contested in Heartland Wrestling Association. It was active from 1996 to 2014.

History[]

The HWA Heavyweight Championship was first awarded at the end of a tournament. The amount of participants and the name of the participants is unknown, but the final match had D'Lo Brown defeating Bobby Blaze in Fort Wright, Kentucky in January of 1996. Blaze would win the title in March of the same year, but would quickly lose it back to Brown. The championship was then shelved for 4 years.
