The December 16, 2014 Edition of Main Event is a Professional wrestling television show of the WWE, it was shown live on the WWE Network at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 16, 2014.

In a smash-mouth main event between two behemoths, Erick Rowan took the fight to Kane. Despite a valiant effort from the younger Superstar for most of the bout, he wound up feeling the full wrath of The Big Red Monster.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & Damien Mizdow welcomed Naomi to the set of “Miz TV” to inform her that she would be in a Divas Title Match later in the night on the live SuperSmackDown. The offer didn’t sit well with Naomi’s husband, Jimmy Uso, who stormed the ring with his brother Jey and ordered Miz to stay away from his wife. Later, Naomi apologized to The Miz for how things went earlier in the night.

With Big E and Natalya at ringside providing encouragement for their respective teams, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods engaged in a competitive bout with Tyson Kidd & Cesaro. After a Cesaro Swing to Kingston was broken up by Woods, the tide began to go the way of The New Day. While Woods held Kidd on his back across his knee, Kingston launched himself from top rope to brutally drive the Canadian Superstar into the canvas with both feet for the win.

Paige unleashed an extremely aggressive offense to dominate most of the match. Emma managed some offense — and even nearly pinned Paige with a quick roll up — but met her inevitable fate when she was forced to tap out to Paige’s signature PTO.

In an impressive display of strength, Erick Rowan was able to both suplex and drive Kane into the canvas with a full nelson slam. The tide turned a bit when the 300-pound monster took to the top rope and launched himself onto Rowan. Next the action spilled outside the ring, where Rowan slammed Kane onto the announce table, sending water all over guest commentator Titus O’Neil. When the two giants continued the war inside the ring, the former WWE Director of Operations asserted his dominance with a chokeslam for the win.
