The August 8, 1999 Edition of Heat is a Professional wrestling television show of the WWE, which took place at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It was taped on August 8, 1999.

  • WWF Intercontinental Title Match: Val Venis defeated D-Lo Brown (c) by DQ after Jeff Jarrett interfered. (2:08)
  • Singles Match: Tori defeated Les Lexie (1:30). After the match Ivory attacked Teri and used body paint to write "slut" on her stomach and "skank" on her back.
  • WWF World Tag Team Title Match: The Acolytes (Bradshaw & Faarooq) (c) vs. Kane & The Road Dogg ended in a No Contest. (3:10). The Acolytes took out Road Dogg before Kane came out, halfway through the match Hardcore Holly came out into Kane's corner, tagged himself in then attacked Kane and the Acolytes. The Undertaker and The Big Show were watching backstage, Big Show wanted to go out and help the Acolytes but The Undertaker wouldn't allow it.
  • Singles Match: Prince Albert (w/ Droz) vs. The Godfather ended in a No Contest.

Just as Bossman was making his entrance, it was announced that Jeff Jarrett would challenge D'Lo Brown for both Intercontinental and European titles at Summerslam.
