The AAA World Tag Team Championship is the main wrestling championship for 2 person Tag teams (also known as "Pajeras") in the Mexican wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). There is some confusion about the lineage of the AAA World Tag Team championship as AAA previously promoted a "AAA World Tag Team Championship" in 1993-1994, a title that is also referred to as the AAA/IWC World Tag Team Championship.

AAA/IWC World Tag Team Championship

The original AAA tag team championship was created when Konnan and Love Machine brough the Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship to Mexico after having won them on a CWUSA show. When they lost the title in 1993 it officially became an AAA Championship. The original AAA Tag Team Championship was vacated after Love Machine (Art Barr) died in 1994.[1]
